Utilizing Wordpress and simple HTML & CSS adjustments, this site was created as a fun experience for a local KC ceramicist Joey Watson. The organic and loopy nature of the website represents his craft. Using animation and sounds, something also prominent in his work, this site offers a complete archive of his work and give you a chance to purchase some as well. Check it out here.

Objet hosts a series of workshops in focused on creating and customizing ceramics and weapons. The workshops took place at Vacant Farm in Kansas City. Objet reached out to Special Edition Co. to create a visual campaign for the workshops. We designed posters and handbills focused on the nature of the workshops. We also created social media promos for the workshops. Shortly after the workshops, we also created an additional poster for an Objet pop up shop.

EYE x EAR is an exhibit of synesthetic work between vision and audition and an exploration of sensual experience based on decision-making.
The show consists of a collection of 6-second long looped videos(visual+audio) created by 70 artists. Participants were selected and paired by Special Edition Co. and Kathy Yaeji Lee (The Gradients).
Audio producers were asked to compose 6-second loops that were then assigned to visual artists to create loops in response.
This was determined based on the structure of Vine.
Temporary Tattoos Design
Gumbo is a collaboration between Special Edition Co. and designer Lindsey Chizever. The temporary tattoo set features graphic elements created by both parties. Users can wear the tats individually or stack several of them to create their own custom interactions!
A few posters I've done over the past few years. Some are collaborations.
Special Edition Co. collaborated with ceramicist Lea McCormick Griggs on these graphic ceramic platters. Lea uses ceramic decals regularly in his work, offering opportunities for graphic and photographic application directly to ceramic pieces. We designed the graphics, printed them on ceramic decal paper and collaboratively placed the elements on each of the four platters.
Each platter measures 11" x 22" x 2".

Typeface created using fonstruct. Named Dragoon after the british cavalry regiment. The reason behind the name is its similarity to the word dragon and the thought of muskets or carbine fire (breathing fire). I took from this meaning and displayed the typeface with natural or historic imagery, to harken at the mythic nature of the dragon.
